On the first Veergati Anniversary of SI Md Imtiyaj, Vir Chakra, the BSF organised a commemorative programme at Bhikhari Thakur Preksha Grih, Chapra, in coordination with the Civil Administration, Saran, to honour the braveheart’s unparalleled courage, supreme sacrifice and enduring legacy.
The solemn occasion was attended by Hon’ble MP Shri Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Hon’ble Bihar Minority Affairs Minister Shri Md Zama Khan, Hon’ble MLAs Smt Chhoti Kumari and Shri Surender Ram, senior civil and police officials, officers of BSF & ITBP, and over 600 citizens, students and members of civil society.
On behalf of DG BSF, Officers and all Ranks of BSF, Shri Madhukar, IG BSF, along with other officers, paid heartfelt tributes to the Amar Prahari. BSF also honoured the वीरांगना and family members as a mark of the Force’s eternal gratitude and respect.
A Prabhat Feri by Scouts & Guides of India, cultural presentations and enthusiastic public participation reflected the Nation’s deep reverence for the supreme sacrifice of SI Md Imtiyaj, Vir Chakra.
