What caused derailment of North-East Express in Bihar.
An internal assessment by the railways has found “fault in track” as the probable cause of the derailment of the North East Express in Raghunathpur in Bihar’s Buxar district, which killed four passengers.
As is the law, since the accident led to deaths, it is being formally probed by the commissioner of railway safety (CRS), which operates under the ministry of civil aviation rather than the railway ministry. The CRS will come out with its findings.
