CHECK YOUR GREENERY
If you are getting a Christmas tree, wreath, or holiday greenery, visiting a tree farm or shopping for a local tree helps prevent the introduction of new pests like elongate hemlock scale. If you don't get a local tree/greenery, be sure to check and make sure that it is fresh (not dried out) and free of pests before you buy it.
If you think you spot #elongatehemlockscale or another pest on your tree or greenery, take a photo and send it to nursery@agr.wa.gov.
