Adopting a dog is one of life’s happiest moments but saying goodbye is one of its biggest heartbreaks. Bubba, for 13 years, you were my closest companion, sharing every chapter of my life. You were there through my best moments, and through all of my worst. You’d be the most comforting little shoulder to cry on. You were more than just a pet, you were a loyal friend and a true character. Funny, mischievous, greedy, abit loopy lol and at times.. as stubborn as an old soul who’d been here before. You were one of a kind, but I wouldn't have changed a thing about you ❤️
I’m grateful for yesterday, I was off work for Halloween so we got to have one final day in the house together filled with cuddles, kisses, playing with Rocco, and eating all your favorite treats. Seeing you happy yesterday makes the pain feel a lot easier. Although I knew this day was coming close it almost felt like you’d be here forever. This morning, holding you still was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I know it was your time, even if my heart wasn’t ready 💔
