Aalin Sherin, the daughter of Arun Abraham and Sherin Ann John, suffered critical injuries in a road accident on February 5 at Pallam near Kottayam while travelling with her mother and maternal grandparents. Despite the best medical efforts, doctors declared her brain dead on February 12. In an act widely described as extraordinary courage, her parents chose to donate her organs.
