A sudden hailstorm in Pune’s Hinjawadi transformed the tech hub into a scene resembling Kashmir or Switzerland, leaving residents stunned.
Videos shared widely on social media show hailstones covering roads, rooftops, and open spaces in white, creating a rare winter like landscape in March.
Many residents filmed the moment from balconies of high rise societies, capturing the intensity of the hail along with strong winds and rain. Such pre monsoon convective storms, though uncommon, have been reported in parts of the region this month. The visuals quickly went viral, with users comparing the unexpected weather to snowfall destinations. While no major damage has been reported yet, the sudden weather shift has surprised both locals and meteorologists.
