The first-ever installation of Swami Vivekananda’s statue at Westlake Square, in the heart of Seattle 🇮🇳🇺🇸, marks a historic cultural milestone in the United States.
Presented as a gift by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the statue was unveiled by the Hon’ble Mayor of Seattle, Katie Wilson, along with the Consul General of India.
A symbol of spiritual wisdom, inclusivity, and universal harmony, the statue stands as a testament to the shared values between India and the United States, strengthening cultural ties and fostering deeper mutual understanding.
In her address, Hon’ble Mayor Ms. Katie Wilson highlighted that the installation of the Swami Vivekananda Monument in Seattle reflects the city’s inclusive ethos and further reinforces the cultural connect between India and the diverse metropolitan and technological hub of the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
