Michael, the biopic on Michael Jackson, has opened strongly at the box office with a global collection of $217 million. The film earned around $97 million in the US, making it one of the biggest openings of the year. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film has also set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a biopic, beating previous titles like Oppenheimer and Bohemian Rhapsody. The strong start has put it among the top-performing films of 2026 so far.
