Cooker mein Chole Rice

Oil - 3 tbsp
Chickpeas: 1 cup soaked overnight
• Basmati Rice: 1 cup rinsed and soaked
• Whole Spices: 1/2 tsp whole black pepper, red chilli- 2 Whole coriander seeds curry leaves- 5 to 6 , - tsp cumin seeds
• Aromatics: 1 chopped onion, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, tomato ketchup-3 tbsp or 2 chopped tomatoes
• Spices: 2 tsp biryani masala, 1 salt to taste
• Liquid & Garnish: 2 cups water and fresh coriander
• tamarind paste - 2 tbsp
Sauté Spices & Aromatics:
Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker. Add whole spices and let them splutter. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
Add Masalas: Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Add your dry spices (biryani masala or pav bhaji masala ) and cook until the mixture releases oil.
Combine: Add the soaked chickpeas, soaked rice, and salt. Mix gently for about 1-2 minutes to coat everything in the spices.
Cook: Pour in exactly 2 cups of water and Lemon juice - 2 tsp
Close the cooker lid and pressure cook on medium heat for 2 whistles.
Serve: Let the pressure release naturally.
Open, fluff the rice carefully with a fork, and garnish with fresh
