Hailing from Ghagga village in Muktsar district, Veerpal won two gold and three silver medals at the World Police and Fire Games in Chengdu, China. Soon after, she added another feather to her cap by securing a silver medal in the 400m hurdles at the 59th Open National Athletics Championship in Ranchi.
