The Gujarat government has decided to involve parents in the marriage registration process. On Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi introduced a new marriage registration procedure in the State Assembly under Rule 44, saying the step aims to address issues linked to love marriages, elopements, and alleged fraud.
