India’s medical-technology ecosystem has been working toward reducing dependence on expensive imported equipment, and MRI development is one important example. Arjun Arunachalam founded Voxelgrids after earlier working in MRI research, including professional experience at GE Global Research and IIT Bombay, where he worked as an MRI scientist and Assistant Professor. Voxelgrids says its team developed an indigenous MRI prototype, with an early scanner deployed at the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences in Bengaluru.
