Ayodhya has tightened food restrictions around one of Hinduism’s most sacred pilgrimage zones.

The restrictions cover Ayodhya Dham and the Panchkosi Parikrama area, with reports describing the delivery restriction as extending roughly 15 km around the Ram Temple.
Why the tighter enforcement?
Authorities said they had received complaints that visitors were still obtaining non-vegetarian food through online delivery services despite existing restrictions.
So on January 8, hotels, guest houses, homestays, shops and food-delivery companies were formally informed of the tightened rules.
