Sri Hemkunt Sahib Closes for Winter Amid Heavy Snowfall
The gates of Sri Hemkunt Sahib were closed for the winter season on October 10, 2026, amid heavy snowfall. During the closing ceremony, devotees offered heartfelt prayers and raised Jaikaras, expressing their deep devotion to Guru Sahib.
Following the concluding Ardas and Shabad Kirtan, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was respectfully taken in accordance with Sikh traditions to the winter residence at Gurdwara Gobind Ghat.
The sacred shrine, covered in a beautiful blanket of white snow, is now attracting attention on social media. The sangat will eagerly await the reopening of Sri Hemkunt Sahib next year.
