तलवारबाज **नदा हाफेज** ने पेरिस ओलंपिक 2024 में सात महीने की गर्भवती होने के बावजूद हिस्सा लिया, जिसने दुनियाभर में उनके जज्बे की सराहना की। 26 वर्षीय नदा, जो मेडिसिन में डिग्री होल्डर और पूर्व जिमनास्ट हैं, तीन बार की ओलंपियन हैं और 2019 अफ्रीकी खेलों में व्यक्तिगत व टीम सेबर स्पर्धाओं में स्वर्ण पदक जीत चुकी हैं।
पेरिस ओलंपिक में उन्होंने महिलाओं की सेबर स्पर्धा में राउंड 16 तक का सफर तय किया। नदा ने अमेरिका की एलिजाबेथ टार्टाकोवस्की को हराकर उलटफेर किया, लेकिन इसके बाद कोरिया की जियोन हेयंग से हार गईं। हालांकि, वे पदक नहीं जीत सकीं, लेकिन उनके प्रदर्शन और गर्भावस्था के दौरान खेलने के साहस ने लाखों लोगों का दिल जीता।
उन्होंने इंस्टाग्राम पर पोस्ट कर बताया, “मेरे गर्भ में एक छोटा ओलंपियन पल रहा है। गर्भावस्था की शारीरिक और भावनात्मक चुनौतियों के बावजूद, मैंने जीवन और खेल के बीच संतुलन बनाया। मुझे राउंड 16 तक पहुंचने पर गर्व है।” उन्होंने अपने पति और परिवार के समर्थन का भी जिक्र किया।
