Been there — trying to fix every fire, carry every load.
But leadership isn't about being everywhere at once.
It's about being present, predictable, and strategic.
Give them clarity.
That’s the real superpower.

“𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐬𝐬?”
A few years ago, I sat down with an entrepreneur who looked exhausted.
His business was running, clients were coming in, but he confessed something striking:
“𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄’𝙢 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩.”
That’s when I shared with him 𝐆𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭’𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐰:
“𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝙞𝙣 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙤 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤.”
And it’s even more true in entrepreneurship.
Unlike a job, where roles and tasks are defined, running your own business means you set the direction, decide the priorities, and choose what deserves your time.
But here’s the catch—
When you don’t have clarity, you end up 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.
You spend your days putting out fires instead of building systems.
You get 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙮 instead of 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚
That entrepreneur realized his real challenge wasn’t competition, clients, or cash flow.
It was the absence of a clear roadmap for himself and his team.
The moment he 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚, the chaos started fading. His team knew what to do. More importantly— 𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠.
That’s the essence of 𝙂𝙞𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩’𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨: 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩. Without it, even the hardest work leads to exhaustion, not growth.
