Ellen's father Dr. Josh Greenberg told Fox News Digital his daughter had injuries on her body 'consisted with abuse.'

'That's what I think the whole issue of this story,' the grieving father added. 'Somebody didn't want Ellen's abuse to get out there … and that's why she's dead.'
Ellen's death was initially ruled a homicide but the medical examiner's office then changed it to suicide after a meeting with police and prosecutors, per her family.

In 2005, LaVena Lynn Johnson, an E3 Private First Class in the United States Army, was found dead in a tent. Her death was ruled as a suicide.

However, the autopsy report and photographs unveiled that Johnson had a fractured nose, a black eye, loose teeth, burns from a corrosive chemical on her genitals, and a gunshot wound to the mouth that appeared inconsistent with suicide.

Several reporters have suspected that the chemical burns were the result of attempts to destroy DNA evidence of a sexual assault. Additionally, bloody footprints were discovered outside of her living quarters.

Despite her death being officially ruled as a suicide, her family to believe the United States Department of Defense has covered up foul play.

An Australian man called Don Ritchie, lived the across street from the most famous suicide hotspot in Australia known as "the gap".

He lived there for almost 50 years and during that time he saved at least 160 from committing suicide by striking up a conversation with them and then inviting them into his home for tea.

In 2006, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his rescues, the official citation being for "service to the community through programs to prevent suicide".

Ritchie died on 13 May 2012, at the age of 85.

On January 26, 2011, during a blizzard in Philadelphia, Ellen Greenberg decided to leave her workplace and return to her apartment in Manayunk.

Around 6:40 p.m. that same evening, Ellen tragically succumbed to twenty stab wounds, including ten inflicted on her back and neck.

Additionally, she had eleven bruises at various stages of healing on her right arm, abdomen, and right leg.

Despite these concerning circumstances, the Philadelphia Police Department initially classified her death as a suicide.

The Philadelphia Police Department did acknowledge that there were suspicions surrounding Ellen Greenberg's death, with homicide investigators considering it a suspicious case.

Nevertheless, the case was officially closed as a suicide.
