आज के दौर में जहां रिश्ते सुविधा से तौले जाते हैं वहां शंभू चौधरी ने साबित कर दिया कि संस्कार अभी ज़िंदा हैं

पटना के महावीर मंदिर ट्रस्ट ने शंभू चौधरी को प्रतिष्ठित श्रवण कुमार पुरस्कार के लिए चुना है। यह सम्मान उन लोगों को दिया जाता है जो सेवा और त्याग की मिसाल बनते हैं।

शंभू चौधरी ने अपने 80 वर्षीय बीमार पिता की सेवा के लिए अपनी अच्छी नौकरी छोड़ दी। जिन सपनों के लिए उन्होंने वर्षों मेहनत की थी उन्हें बिना किसी शिकायत के पीछे छोड़ दिया।

जिस पत्नी को उन्होंने पढ़ाया लिखाया और नर्स बनाया नौकरी मिलते ही उसने शंभू को छोड़ दिया और दूसरी शादी कर ली। यह दर्द किसी को भी तोड़ सकता था।

लेकिन शंभू नहीं टूटे।
उन्होंने हालात को स्वीकार किया और अपने बिस्तर पर पड़े पिता की सेवा को ही अपना धर्म बना लिया। दिन रात वे पिता के साथ रहते हैं।

पिता के सोने के समय वे कुछ घंटों के लिए मोबाइल रिपेयरिंग की दुकान खोलते हैं ताकि घर का खर्च चल सके। उनकी पूरी जिंदगी आज सेवा और जिम्मेदारी के इर्द गिर्द घूमती है।

उनकी इस निस्वार्थ सेवा और समर्पण के लिए उन्हें 29 दिसंबर को सम्मानित किया जाएगा। शंभू चौधरी आज के समय में श्रवण कुमार की जीवित मिसाल हैं।

यह कहानी याद दिलाती है
कि सच्चा संस्कार हालात से नहीं
चरित्र से पहचाना जाता है।
