नीचे बादल, ऊपर पुल...रेलवे ने बनाया दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा ब्रिज,
तस्वीर में देखा जा सकता है कि इस ब्रिज की ऊंचाई इतनी है कि बादल उसके नीचे आ गए हैं. चिनाब नदी पर बने इस ब्रिज की ऊंचाई नदी के तल से 359 मीटर है. पुल को जम्मू-कश्मीर के रियासी जिले में कटरा-बनिहाल रेल खंड पर 27949 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बनाया जा रहा है ।
ये एक आर्क ब्रिज है और एफिल टावर से भी 35 मीटर ऊंचा है.
ख़ास बात है कि यह पुल 260 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से चलने वाली हवा को झेलने में सक्षम होगा. इसके लिए टेस्ट किए जा चुके हैं. इसकी उम्र 120 साल होगी.
इस ब्रिज को स्ट्रक्चरल स्टील से बनाया गया है और यह माइनस 10 डिग्री सेल्सियस से 40 डिग्री सेल्सियस तक के तापमान को झेलने में सक्षम होगा.
चिनाब ब्रिज देश में पहला ऐसा पुल है ब्लास्ट लोड के लिए डिजाइन किया गया है. यह आर्क ब्रिज रिएक्टर स्कैल पर 8 तीव्रता के भूकंप का सामना करने में सक्षम होगा और 30 किलोग्राम विस्फोटकों से होने वाले ब्लास्ट का सामना
