शनिवार को प्रदेश के ज्यादातर जिलों में तापमान 40 डिग्री सेल्सियस के पार पहुंच गया। राजधानी लखनऊ में अधिकतम तापमान 42.9 डिग्री सेल्सियस दर्ज किया गया, जो सामान्य से 3.5 डिग्री अधिक है, जबकि न्यूनतम तापमान 25 डिग्री सेल्सियस रहा। वहीं बांदा ने गर्मी के सारे रिकॉर्ड तोड़ते हुए 47.4 डिग्री सेल्सियस तापमान दर्ज किया, जो न सिर्फ उत्तर प्रदेश बल्कि पूरे देश में सबसे ज्यादा रहा। यह अप्रैल का अब तक का रिकॉर्ड तापमान है
