Nee Vaaa Thalaivaaa, Neel-Verse ❤️‍🔥

Vetrimaran starts the movie with a great accomplishment of a 7mins single shot that staggeringly captures a train accident and the horror and sorrow associated with it. As a craftsman Vetrimaran outdid himself there.
The first half excellently works because there is an underlying tension that one expects from Vetrimaran cinema, starting with train havoc and then to Soori's introduction scene, exploring the forest Terrain with him, and then the arrival of the powerful interval block, it was Vetri at his finest, the way he introduces 'Vaathiyar' and shifts the threat onto Soori's character there was emotionally overwhelming, Raja's score too was of great help there, and if not for Soori, I don't really think this block would've worked with any other heroes, we buy this man's Innocence completely, we admire the idealistic nature he radiates, Soori gave a believable and memorable performance. The very compelling nature of the first half hardly makes you notice the time.
Even the starting ten minutes of the second half were superb, it subverts the things that lead to the Interval in quite an engrossing manner, it was again Vetri revealing his panache at handling the tension and its subversion, but after that, I felt the movie losing its momentum a bit, also the police brutality scenes after a point feel too much to take, they were that horrific.
Nonetheless, Viduthalai-1 makes up a decent watch, it's Vetrimaran's most visceral cinema and the drama promises to be more startling in the next part, the little glimpse into it at the movie's end was too fascinating. 💚

एक व्यक्ति धन की कामना से ठाकुर जी की सेवा करता था। उसका धन बढ़ने की बजाय नष्ट होता गया।
एक दिन उसकी भेंट किसी साहूकार से हुई जब दोनों में वार्तालाप हुआ तो साहुकार बोला- "आप गलत मूर्ति का पूजन कर रहे हैं। ठाकुर जी तो केवल अपने चरणों की भक्ति देते हैं या फिर जन्म-मरण के बंधन से सदा-सदा के लिए मुक्ति दिलवा देते हैं। धन देने वाली तो मां लक्ष्मी हैं। आप उनकी सेवा करें।"
उस व्यक्ति को तो केवल धन की कामना थी फिर चाहे वो ठाकुर जी की भक्ति से हो या देवी लक्ष्मी की। उसने घर आकर ठाकुर जी की मूर्ति को उठाकर सिंहासन के किनारे कुछ दूरी पर रखी अलमारी में रख दिया और सिंहासन पर मुरली मनोहर की जगह देवी को सम्मान के साथ पधरा कर पूजा करने लगा।
एक दिन वह देवी को गुग्गुल की सुगंधित धूप दे रहा था। उसने देखा धूप का धुआं हवा से मुरलीमनोहर की ओर जा रहा है। उसे बहुत क्रोध आया और मन ही मन विचार करने लगा देना-लेना कुछ नहीं धूप सूंघने को तैयार बैठे हैं। देवी के धूप को सूँघ कर जूठी कर रहे हैं। उसने रूई ली और ठाकुर जी की नाक में ठूंस दी।
उसी समय ठाकुर जी प्रगट हो गए और बोले- वर मांगों।
वो व्यक्ति बोला- "वरदान मैं बाद में माँगुंगा पहले यह बताएं जब मैं आपकी सेवा करता था तब तो आप जड़ बने रहे अब आप कैसे प्रसन्न होकर मुझे वरदान देने आ गए।"
ठाकुर जी बोले- "पहले तुम मुझे पत्थर की मूर्ति समझते थे तो मैं भी जड़ बना रहा परंतु अब तुमने मुझे साक्षात भगवान समझा तुम्हें विश्वास हो गया की मैं धूप सूंघ रहा हूं। तो मैं भी सच में तुम्हारे सामने आ गया।
शास्त्र कहते हैं जिसकी जैसी भावना होती है व जिसका जैसा विश्वास होता है उसकी सिद्धि भी उसी प्रकार होती है।
