🇮🇳स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के डिजाइनर पिंगली वेंकैया का सपना था कि भारत का अपना राष्ट्रीय ध्वज हो। उन्होंने 1916 से 1921 तक दुनिया भर के कई देशों के राष्ट्रीय झंडों का अध्ययन किया। उनकी डिजाइन को 1921 में महात्मा गाँधी ने स्वीकृत किया.

पश्चिम बंगाल पुलिस प्रशासन में किया गया यह व्यापक फेरबदल, जिसमें एक साथ 100 से अधिक थानों के इंस्पेक्टर और थाना प्रभारियों (IC/OC) का तबादला किया गया है, राज्य सरकार द्वारा प्रशासनिक दक्षता में सुधार और आंतरिक सुरक्षा को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से उठाया गया एक बड़ा कदम है। पुलिस महकमे में इस तरह के बड़े पैमाने पर बदलाव अक्सर कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति को बेहतर बनाने, प्रशासनिक जवाबदेही तय करने और किसी एक स्थान पर लंबे समय से तैनात अधिकारियों के प्रभाव को कम करने के लिए किए जाते हैं। इस तरह की कवायद राज्य के राजनीतिक परिदृश्य में भी महत्वपूर्ण होती है,

राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ (RSS) ने पश्चिम बंगाल में अपनी पैठ को और अधिक मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से एक महीने का एक व्यापक जनसंपर्क और विस्तार अभियान शुरू करने का निर्णय लिया है, जिसका मुख्य लक्ष्य राज्य के लगभग 2.5 लाख युवाओं को सीधे अपने वैचारिक दायरे और संगठन से जोड़ना है। इस महाभियान की रूपरेखा में केवल राजनीतिक जुड़ाव ही नहीं, बल्कि विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों, सामुदायिक गतिविधियों और सामाजिक चेतना से जुड़े आयोजनों के माध्यम से युवाओं के बीच अपनी विचारधारा को प्रसारित करना शामिल है। यह पहल पिछले कुछ वर्षों में बंगाल में संघ द्वारा चलाए जा रहे निरंतर प्रयासों का ही एक विस्तृत हिस्सा है, जहाँ संगठन लगातार ग्रामीण और शहरी युवाओं के बीच अपनी शाखाओं का विस्तार करने और 'सांस्कृतिक राष्ट्रवाद' के माध्यम से आधारभूत पकड़ बनाने की कोशिश कर रहा है। राजनीतिक विशेषज्ञों की दृष्टि में, यह अभियान आगामी समय में राज्य की सामाजिक-राजनीतिक धारा को प्रभावित करने की एक सोची-समझी रणनीति है, जिसके जरिए संघ न केवल नए कार्यकर्ताओं की फौज तैयार करना चाहता है, बल्कि युवाओं को मुख्यधारा की अपनी विचारधारा से जोड़कर राज्य में अपनी सामाजिक स्वीकार्यता को और अधिक व्यापक बनाना चाहता है। यह अभियान स्पष्ट करता है कि संघ अब बंगाल में एक संगठनात्मक शक्ति के रूप में खुद को और भी प्रभावशाली बनाने के लिए युवाओं को एक महत्वपूर्ण कड़ी मानकर अपनी रणनीति को गति दे रहा है, जो राज्य के बदलते सामाजिक परिदृश्य में काफी मायने रखती है।
