उत्तर प्रदेश में टूरिज्म अब सिर्फ घूमने-फिरने तक सीमित नहीं रहा. यह युवाओं के लिए रोजगार और स्टार्टअप के नए मौके लेकर आया है. राज्य सरकार की 'न्यू टूरिज्म स्टार्टअप यूनिट्स' पहल के जरिए युवा अपने आइडिया को कारोबार में बदल सकेंगे. सरकार 'वन ट्रिलियन डॉलर इकॉनमी' के लक्ष्य के साथ आगे बढ़ रही है. ऐसे में यह प्रयास पर्यटन सेक्टर को 'स्मार्ट' और 'अनुभव-आधारित' विशिष्ट पहचान देगी.

पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति मंत्री जयवीर सिंह ने बताया कि उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार अब उन नए टूरिज्म स्टार्टअप्स की मदद करेगी जो नई तकनीक का इस्तेमाल कर रहे हैं. सरकार का मकसद ऐसे बिजनेस को बढ़ावा देना है, जो पर्यटन के क्षेत्र में कुछ नया करें और जिनसे स्थानीय लोगों को फायदा पहुंचे. इन प्रोजेक्ट्स की जांच एक खास सरकारी कमेटी (SLSTC) करेगी. वही कमेटी तय करेगी कि किस स्टार्टअप को कितनी सरकारी छूट या वित्तीय मदद दी जाएगी.

'हॉबिट हाउस' जैसे थीम आधारित आवास, जापानी शैली के पॉड्स/कैप्सूल स्टे, रीजेनरेटिव टूरिज्म यूनिट्स, अत्याधुनिक कैरावान और ओपन-एयर 'स्टार बेड' जैसे अभिनव मॉडल्स विकसित किए जा रहे हैं. इन परियोजनाओं को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए योगी सरकार आकर्षक सब्सिडी दे रही है, जिसमें 10 लाख से 500 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक के निवेश पर 10 से 25 प्रतिशत तक की सब्सिडी (अधिकतम 40 करोड़ रुपये तक) का प्रावधान है.

इसके साथ ही, निवेशकों को 100 प्रतिशत स्टांप शुल्क में छूट और भूमि परिवर्तन व विकास शुल्क में पूर्ण छूट दी जाएगी, जबकि महिला और अनुसूचित जाति/जनजाति के उद्यमियों को 5 प्रतिशत अतिरिक्त सब्सिडी का लाभ मिलेगा. पर्यटन मंत्री जयवीर सिंह के अनुसार, यह पहल मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ के 'विकसित उत्तर प्रदेश और 'वन ट्रिलियन डॉलर इकॉनमी' के लक्ष्य को साकार करने में मील का पत्थर साबित होगी.
