क्षिण दिल्ली के मेहरौली में हुए इमारत हादसे में छह लोगों की मौत हो गई, जिनमें नेपाल मूल की पार्वती भी शामिल थीं, जिन्हें इलाके में लोग प्यार से ‘पार्वती आंटी’ कहकर बुलाते थे। उनकी मौत ने पूरे क्षेत्र में शोक की लहर पैदा कर दी है, जहां छात्र और स्थानीय लोग उन्हें सिर्फ एक कैंटीन संचालक नहीं बल्कि अपने परिवार जैसा मानते थे।
पार्वती एक छोटी सी टिन-शेड कैंटीन चलाती थीं, जो एक पांच मंजिला इमारत के पास स्थित थी। यह कैंटीन छात्रों और ऑफिस जाने वाले लोगों के बीच काफी लोकप्रिय थी, जहां सस्ते और घरेलू भोजन के साथ-साथ अपनापन भी मिलता था। समय के साथ वे इलाके की एक जानी-पहचानी शख्सियत बन गई थीं।
जानकारी के अनुसार, हादसे के समय कैंटीन में लगभग 12 से 13 लोग मौजूद थे, जब अचानक इमारत गिर गई और मलबा सीधे कैंटीन पर आ गिरा। कई लोग शुरुआती रेस्क्यू में बचा लिए गए, लेकिन पार्वती और कुछ अन्य लोग मलबे में फंस गए।
प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, पार्वती पहले सुरक्षित बाहर निकल चुकी थीं, लेकिन उन्हें यह एहसास हुआ कि अंदर कई छात्र और ग्राहक फंसे हुए हैं। इसके बाद वह उन्हें बाहर निकालने के लिए दोबारा अंदर चली गईं। इसी दौरान इमारत का मलबा गिरने से वह भी इसकी चपेट में आ गईं।
राष्ट्रीय आपदा मोचन बल (NDRF) की टीम ने रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन के दौरान उन्हें मलबे से बाहर निकाला और AIIMS ट्रॉमा सेंटर पहुंचाया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया।
उनकी मौत की खबर फैलते ही इलाके में गहरा शोक फैल गया। छात्र और स्थानीय लोग लगातार यही पूछते नजर आए कि ‘पार्वती आंटी’ का क्या हुआ। उन्हें याद करते हुए लोग कहते हैं कि उनकी कैंटीन सिर्फ खाने की जगह नहीं थी, बल्कि एक ऐसा स्थान था जहां अपनापन महसूस होता था।
