लुधियाना में मिलावटखोरों के खिलाफ स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने मंगलवार को बड़ी स्ट्राइक की है. विभाग की टीम ने गिल चौक के पास एक दुकान पर गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर रेड कर करीब 1500 किलोग्राम (15 क्विंटल) देसी घी बरामद किया. हैरानी की बात यह है कि यहां 2 साल पहले एक्सपायर हो चुका सामान भी धड़ल्ले से सप्लाई के लिए रखा गया था.

शुरुआती जांच में सामने आया है कि घी की यह बड़ी खेप दूसरे राज्य से मंगवाई गई थी. इसे लुधियाना के अलग-अलग इलाकों में सप्लाई किया जाना था. स्वास्थ्य विभाग को इसकी गुप्त सूचना मिली थी, जिसके बाद खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिकारी योगेश गोयल और जतिंदर विर्क की टीम ने अचानक दबिश दी.

छापेमारी के दौरान जब टीम ने स्टॉक चेक किया तो वहां भारी अनियमितताएं मिलीं. परिसर में रखे कुछ प्रोडक्ट्स की एक्सपायरी डेट 2024 की थी लेकिन उन्हें हटाया नहीं गया था. अधिकारियों के मुताबिक एक्सपायर हो चुके सामान को भी मार्केट में उतारने की तैयारी थी, जो लोगों की सेहत के साथ बड़ा खिलवाड़ है.
