But James Anderson is the perfect example of how a bowler can still move the ball both ways from a pretty neutral release point.
He doesn’t rely heavily on the action itself to create swing. Instead, the real magic is in how well he controls his wrist, seam position, and release.
That’s what makes him so dangerous.
Same action… different movement.
A lot of young bowlers think c****ing their action is the only way to swing the ball more. Sometimes, improving your wrist control and understanding your release can make a bigger difference than rebuilding your entire action.
Your action gives you the base.
Your wrist gives you the control.
