Kali, a stray dog from Mayurbhanj district, is being remembered as a hero after sacrificing her life to protect schoolchildren.
The incident took place near Sri Jagannath Sishu Vidya Mandir, where over 30 kindergarten students were sitting outside when a venomous snake approached the area.
Before anyone could react, Kali charged at the snake, shielding the children. She managed to kill it but suffered a fatal bite during the struggle and later ****d from the venom.
