उत्तर प्रदेश की हापुड़ पुलिस ने देशविरोधी गतिविधियों में शामिल एक बड़े नेटवर्क का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। जिले के धौलाना थाना पुलिस ने मुखबिर की सूचना और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सर्विलांस की मदद से हापुड़ निवासी अजीम राणा और मेरठ के रहने वाले आजाद राजपूत को दबोचा। इनके पास से पुलिस ने घटना में इस्तेमाल हुए दो मोबाइल फोन बरामद किए हैं, जिनका उपयोग संवेदनशील डेटा साझा करने के लिए किया जा रहा था।

पुलिस की पूछताछ में चौंकाने वाला खुलासा हुआ कि ये दोनों आरोपी सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से पाकिस्तान के कुख्यात गैंगस्टर शहजाद भट्टी और ISI के सीधे संपर्क में थे। आरोपी दिसंबर 2025 से भट्टी के साथ इंस्टाग्राम, टेलीग्राम और व्हाट्सऐप के जरिए जुड़े हुए थे। वे पाकिस्तानी हैंडलर के निर्देशों पर दिल्ली और आसपास के महत्वपूर्ण प्रतिष्ठानों की रेकी कर रहे थे, जिसका उद्देश्य भारत की आंतरिक सुरक्षा और धार्मिक सौहार्द को नुकसान पहुंचाना था।

जांच में यह तथ्य सामने आया कि आरोपियों ने दिल्ली के रमेश नगर मेट्रो स्टेशन और उसके पास स्थित सनातन धर्म मंदिर की विस्तृत फोटो, वीडियो और लोकेशन पाकिस्तानी एजेंट को भेजी थी। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने ग्रेटर नोएडा के बिसरख स्थित प्राचीन रावण मंदिर की भी रेकी की थी। आरोपियों ने स्वीकार किया कि वे 19 फरवरी 2026 को भट्टी के कहने पर इन संवेदनशील स्थानों का डेटा व्हाट्सऐप के जरिए सीमा पार भेज चुके थे, ताकि किसी बड़ी आतंकी साजिश को अंजाम दिया जा सके।
