कनाडा ने अपने एक नये फरमान से अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्रों की मुसीबत बढ़ा दी है। सरकार ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्रों की जांच नियम को काफी सख्त कर दिया है। इसके लिए उन्हें अपने दस्तावेज जमा करने के लिए 21 दिन की डेडलाइन तय कर दी है। कनाडा के इस फरमान से विभिन्न देशों के छात्रों में हड़कंप मच गया है। इसमें सैकड़ों भारतीय छात्र भी शामिल हैं, जो कनाडा के इमिग्रेशन विभाग के इस नए आदेश के लपेटे में हैं। कनाडा भारत समेत अन्य देशों के अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्रों को नोटिस भेजना शुरू कर दिया है। इसमें छात्रों से उनके स्टडी परमिट नियमों का पालन करने की पुष्टि करने के लिए दस्तावेज मांगे गए हैं। यह कार्रवाई देश के ऑडिटर जनरल की रिपोर्ट के बाद की गई है, जिसमें इंटरनेशनल स्टूडेंट प्रोग्राम की विश्वसनीयता पर गंभीर चिंता जताई गई थी। पिछले कुछ हफ्तों में कई भारतीय छात्रों को भी ऐसे नोटिस मिले हैं। इससे छात्रों की चिंताएं बढ़ गई हैं।

वायरल हो रहे इस वीडियो और पोस्ट ने निजी अस्पतालों की कार्यप्रणाली पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। एक युवा महिला डॉक्टर ने दावा किया कि अपनी पहली ही ड्यूटी के दिन उन्हें ऐसे निर्देश दिए गए, जो मेडिकल एथिक्स के बिल्कुल खिलाफ थे। डॉक्टर के मुताबिक अस्पताल प्रबंधन का साफ आदेश था कि हर मरीज को भर्ती किया जाए, भले ही उसकी हालत गंभीर न हो। इतना ही नहीं, मरीजों को आईसीयू में रखने और इलाज के नाम पर बिल बढ़ाने का दबाव भी बनाया जा रहा था, जिससे अस्पताल की कमाई बढ़ सके।
डॉक्टर ने बताया कि वह इस तरह के काम का हिस्सा नहीं बन सकती थीं, क्योंकि इससे मरीजों की सुरक्षा और उनके पेशे की साख दोनों पर खतरा था। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि भले ही गलत फैसले अस्पताल ले रहा था, लेकिन उन पर मुहर डॉक्टर के रूप में उन्हीं की लगती। यही वजह रही कि उन्होंने कुछ ही घंटों के भीतर नौकरी छोड़ने का फैसला कर लिया। उनका यह कदम अब सोशल मीडिया पर चर्चा का विषय बन गया है, जहां लोग उनके साहस और ईमानदारी की सराहना कर रहे हैं।
इस घटना ने एक बार फिर प्राइवेट हेल्थकेयर सिस्टम को लेकर बहस छेड़ दी है। जहां कुछ लोग इसे अस्पतालों के मुनाफाखोरी मॉडल का उदाहरण मान रहे हैं, वहीं कई अनुभवी डॉक्टरों का कहना है कि एक घटना के आधार पर पूरे चिकित क्षेत्र को कटघरे में खड़ा करना सही नहीं है। बावजूद इसके, यह मामला साफ तौर पर यह दिखाता है कि चिकित्सा पेशे में नैतिकता और पारदर्शिता बनाए रखना आज भी सबसे बड़ी चुनौती बनी हुई है।
