कर्नाटक के बेलगावी जिले के रायबाग तालुक में स्थित हुलिकंटेश्वर मंदिर की दानपेटी से एक हैरान करने वाला मामला सामने आया है। हाल ही में मंदिर में जत्रा (मेला) समाप्त होने के बाद जब चढ़ावा गिना जा रहा था, तब मंदिर कर्मियों को 100 रुपये का एक नोट मिला जिस पर एक अजीबोगरीब प्रार्थना लिखी थी। इस नोट पर लिखा था, "भगवान, मेरी तकलीफ दूर करो… मेरी सास अगले साल की जत्रा से पहले मर जाए"।
मंदिर प्रबंधन के अनुसार, इस नोट पर किसी का नाम या पहचान दर्ज नहीं है, इसलिए यह स्पष्ट नहीं हो पाया है कि यह संदेश बहू ने लिखा है या दामाद ने। आमतौर पर भक्त दानपेटी में परिवार की सुख-शांति, नौकरी या सेहत की मन्नत मांगते हैं, इसलिए किसी की मौत की यह गुहार देखकर मंदिर कर्मी भी दंग रह गए।
मंदिर प्रशासन ने इसे महज़ एक 'अनोखी प्रार्थना' माना है और स्पष्ट किया है कि यह कोई जांच का विषय नहीं है। फिलहाल इस अनोखे नोट और प्रार्थना की चर्चा सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो रही है।
